Patch name:     Tri-Saw TAP
Version:        1.0
Requirements:   None
By:             Nathan Sheldon
===================================================
Summery:
--------
This Patch uses only internal waveforms on the JV, XP, and XV synthesizers, so no expansion boards are required. It is a simple, 2-Tone patch using 1 triangle and 1 sawtooth waveform. It relies heavily on the JV/XP/XV effects processors to achieve its distinctive sound so it may not work well in a Performance unless you copy all the effects settings from this Patch into your Performance and set the Output Assign for which ever Part this Patch is in to "PAT" with all the Send Levels set to 127.

Controls:
---------
Modulation:           Vibrato  (pitch variation)
System Controller 1: Tremolo (cutoff frequency variation)
System Controller 2: Tremolo speed (speed of cutoff variation)
Pitch Bend Range: -5 to +2 (half steps)
Velocity Sensitivity: On Velocity affects attack time.
                      Off Velocity affects release time.

Detailed Information:
---------------------
This patch uses 2 Tones by default. One is a triangle wave and the other is a sawtooth wave. The patch has a healthy helping of Analog Feel applied to it. Tones 1 and 2 are switched on by default, while Tones 3 and 4 are off by default. I have set up Tones 3 and 4 to add depth to the patch if you wish to turn them on. Tone 3 is a "mini bass" waveform (internal bank A) and Tone 4 is a "MonoStrings" waveform (also internal bank A). LFO 1 in all the Tones affects pitch as modulation is applied. LFO 2 in all Tones is synchronized with the internal clock and set to a wavelength of 24 (1/16th note). LFO 2 controls the tremolo sound (affects the cutoff frequency) on all the Tones. Unlike most patches, this one is set to use the Sequencer as the tempo source so the 4-Tap Delay (EFX processor) can synchronize to whatever tempo the sequencer (on an XP) is set to. If you are using this patch on a JV or XV synth, this patch will most likely synchronize to whatever MIDI clock source your synth is set to receive from, but I have not tested the patch on any JVs or XVs. If you encounter problems (unlikely), just set the Clock Source (in the PATCH/Common/Common General screen) to Patch or to your MIDI clock source.
